One Palestinian was killed and three others wounded in an Israeli air attack on Gaza yesterday. The news was reported by medical sources on the strip and broadcasted by the satellite station Sky News Arabia. The Israeli army confirmed the attack on one of the “Hamas terrorists”” military posts where incendiary kites and balloons were being launched into the Jewish state south of the strip. A memo of the Israeli army assured that it would “continue to mobilize itself decisively against Hamas terrorists”. Previously, mortar shots launched from Gaza set off alarms in the Israeli region around the Gaza Strip, as reported by an Israeli military spokesman.
Alarms sounded in Ashqelon as well, an Israeli coastal city, located a few kilometers north of the Gaza Strip. Residents were forced to leave their homes and take refuge in shelters; however, in this cases, no rocket or mortar explosions were heard and soon after, a military spokesman announced that it had been a false alarm.
