“We are
called to accompany our brothers and sisters in China with fervent prayer and
fraternal friendship. They know they are not alone. The entire Church prays
with them and for them”. With these words on Wednesday morning, 26 September,
at the General Audience, Pope Francis announced the publication of his message
to Chinese Catholics and to the universal Church, following the 22 September
signing of a provisional accord between the Holy See and the People”s Republic
