On Wednesday, 7 November, at the start of a three-day visit to Norfolk, the Archbishop of
Canterbury, the Most Rev. Justin Welby, Primate of the Anglican Communion, is
to take part in an historic short ecumenical service at Saint John the Baptist Cathedral in Norwich. It is believed to be the first time the leader of the Church of England to visit what is considered the second largest Catholic Cathedral after Westminster. The visit is just a few days away from the 100th anniversary of the ending of World War One, 11 November and this, combined with the Archbishop”s passion for reconciliation, has contributed strongly to the shaping of his programme which will take him across the Anglical Diocese of Norwich.
