Numerous nations benefitted on November 26-27, 2017, from the presence in the skies of the Papal Plane making its flight from Rome to Yangon.

It might seem a bit quaint, but when the Papal Plane flies over a country, Pope Francis sends a telegram offering his prayers to the leader of that country and its people.Â Each message is “customized” but carries a simple wish for the blessings of peace.

The current journey generated Papal telegrams to the Republic of Italy, Republic of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Turkey, Georgia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Republic of Pakistan, Republic of India.
