Pope Francis on October 9, 2017, received the leadership of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).  Those participating were:

Cardinal Daniel N. DiNardo, archbishop of Galveston-Houston, president.

Archbishop José Horacio Gómez, archbishop of Los Angeles, vice President;

Msgr. J. Brian Bransfield, secretary general;

Msgr. Jeffrey D. Burrill, adjunct secretary general.
