Sudan: Pope, Anglican Head Ask for Peace

Pope Francis met with Anglican Archbishop Justin Welby on October 27, 2017, at the Vatican.

According to Vatican Radio, the two church leaders had a cordial and wide-ranging discussion. The made an appeal for peace in South Sudan.

They also expressed hope for continued dialogue and progress in Catholic-Anglican relations.
